What Application Data is Backed Up to Google?

Hello 1Password team and community.

Google provides an option on Android to backup various pieces of data from the local device to the cloud [1].
One of these components that can be backed up is App data of each application [2].

My question is when this backup option is enabled what data is backed up and sent to Google from the 1Password Android application?

  • Hi @Oddycm. When you have Google backups enabled on your Android device, and encrypted copy of your Secret Key is stored there. This is so that you can easily move to a new device and sign in from that device with your Master Password. You can find a little bit more about that here:
