Did Something change? Signing into browser extension when app already signed in.
Hello.
So, I updated my chromebook which screwed with syncing apps across my devices. Prior to this, while on my Mac, it seemed that when I signed into the mac 1P app, then when I went to click the Chrome browser extension, I wouldn't have to sign in again (even with the 1P app open and unlocked). I now do. This behavior always seemed to be the case with Firefox, but seems new with Chrome.
Did something change? Am I using the wrong Chrome (or firefox) extension?
Thanks.

Hi @dmayo2 Thanks for your question! It sounds like you have our new 1Password in the browser extension installed. This is a standalone extension, does not work with the app, and requires an account to run. If you have an account, we do recommend using this extension since it is our most up-to-date tool and has an inline menu to help you save/fill logins. However, if you use 1Password with a license, or if unlocking the extension from the app is very important to your workflow, you can set up and install our older classic extension instead. Our classic extension can be set up with the steps here: https://support.1password.com/cs/1password-classic-extension/
I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the reply. I have a family license. I'll be going back to the classic extension because I really hate having to keep unlocking 1P in the various places --> Firefox, Chrome, 1P app, Brave and even sometimes Opera -- Yes, I do keep 3-4 of those going at the same time, and I think that all the 1Ps should be able to talk to one another.

Thanks for the feedback @dmayo2 .
We're definitely working on integrating 1Password in the browser with the desktop app, which will allow you to unlock it once and it will unlock everywhere else automatically. Until that feature is released, 1Password Classic will probably suit you better :)
