Why doesn't 1Password extension show in Safari menubar?

The 1Password extension in Safari (v. 14.0.3) does not show in the menubar. It is turned ON in Safari preferences and blinks for about a 1/10 of a second periodically in the menubar. I am up to date in 1Password and the extension helper is ON (to keep 1P running in Safari). How do I get the extension to work?

1Password Version: 7.7
Extension Version: 7.7
OS Version: 11.2.2

Nice to see you here the morning. though I'm sorry for the situation. Have you give these steps a run through?

If 1Password isn't working in your browser

Yes, I saw that page. It's very odd behavior. I've restarted twice.

I only have 2 other extensions at this time: Todoist and BitDefender. They both show in the toolbar. 1P does not show.

Does it show as enabled within Safari > Preferences > Extensions? If so, turn it off and then back on again. The only thing that comes to mind off the top of my head is this. If you can't turn on extensions in Safari. However, that's a bit of a different situation. I feel like I am overlooking something. Let me see what I can dig up.

I'm going to restart in Recovery and run Disk 1st Aid.

You may want to try a reinstall of the app. Which will replace the extension too.

    1. Quit all open web browsers.
    2. Look for our helper in the menu bar near the WiFi indicator and the clock. Right-click on the helper and select quit 1Password completely.
    3. Drag 1Password from the Applications folder to the Trash. Do not use an "app cleaner" or "uninstaller" tool to remove the app or additional files. If prompted, enter the password you use to sign in to your Mac.
    4. Restart the Mac.
    5. Download the latest version of 1Password from the 1Password website.
    6. Quit any open web browsers and then install 1Password.
    7. Open and unlock 1Password before opening your web browser.
    8. Enable the 1Password extension within Safari, please do not click "More Extensions"

My apologies. I missed your screenshot. The AV software you have installed may be hampering communication. Try disabling those and see if your extension returns to normal.

Re-installing the 1P app worked. Thanks!
