Suggestion: Emergency Kit à la two factor authentication
Hello friends,
I have a suggestion for 1Password.com. You know that you can additionally secure your 1Password account with two-factor authentication. The problem with this is if you lose your device with the authentication app it can cause trouble.
You point out in the support article that you can backup the secret when you set up two-factor authentication - so that you can restore access if you lose your device with the authenticator app.
The thing about that is: Not everyone knows this. So I suggest that after you enter the 6-digit code to set up two-factor authentication, a document containing the secret should be automatically created. The document should then be made available for download, e.g. for printing.
I am looking forward to your opinions.
Have a great day.
Thanks for reading.

Not to change the subject, but you can disable 2FA from any device you have linked to your account? Does that help?
Turn on two-factor authentication for your 1Password account - Device Management
Additionally, if you have multiple family organizers enabled, you can recover your account if needed.

Hi! @ag_tommy
Thank you for this information. However, I already knew this.
My point is that if you no longer have access to your devices, you would be locked out of your account. Because the authenticator app is installed on your smartphone.
That is why I created this thread.
Have a great day.
