Chrome and "Sign in to your 1Password account" prompt
I have always used Safari with 1Password on macOS, but now also need to use Chrome. I was surprised to see the "Sign in to your 1Password account" prompt after adding the 1Password extension, and it asking for my secret key and Master Password etc. Is that normal and necessary?
1Password Version: 7.7
Extension Version: 1.23.1
OS Version: macOS Catalina

Yep, it's normal and necessary. You may be accustomed to the classic extension, which did not ask for that. If that's the case, you can easily switch over. I much prefer the advanced filling capabilities of the newer 1Password in the browser, which you are using presently.
As it stands presently, 1Password in the browser can work independently of the Mac app, which is the reason for the sign-in request.

I was unsure for a few weeks due to my muscle memory being so strong over a decade of use. Later on, it was second nature. I hope you find it as useful as I do.
