On iOS/iPadOS, 1password crashes upon opening app when URL on clipboard

On iOS and iPadOS, when a URL is copied to the clipboard, 1password crashes when opening the app. The setting “prompt to open websites” is enabled. Crash does not occur when this setting is disabled. To crash the app, the URL must start with the protocol “https://” or “http://”. This has been occurring on my iPad and iPhone for at least a year. Only way to stop it is to disable the setting above. When restarting 1password after clearing my clipboard, I usually choose to send the crash report, but the bug still persists after all this time.
