Enable use of biometrics in the browser extension?
Hello!
I'm running 1PasswordX (1.24.4) and I'm wondering how to get biometrics working. I cannot seem to find the setting to enable the feature in Chrome - version 89.0.4389.72 (Official Build) beta.
Please advise.
Best,
Matt

Hey @jjohns829 ,
Biometrics unlock is not yet supported in 1Password in the browser, we're currently working on it.
If it is extremely important for your workflow, you can revert to 1Password Classic instead: https://support.1password.com/cs/1password-classic-extension/However, the tradeoff would be that 1Password will no longer show up inside fields automatically.

The release notes for 1.24.4 beta for Chrome say "Using biometrics to unlock 1Password in the browser is now possible",
https://app-updates.agilebits.com/product_history/B5X#beta
I don't how to either.

Hey @spoirier ,
Currently only 1Password for Linux supports that feature, as we keep developing and improving it. Next on the list is 1Password for Windows, and after that 1Password for Mac will also support it.
For now, if you're on a Mac or Windows, 1Password Classic is the only option for biometrics unlock.

If anyone comes across this thread later, the 1Password 2.0 extension now integrates with the desktop application and enables biometric unlock
