Is there a macOS API available to developers, for adding 1Password support for macOS apps? If so, I was going to ask the team at the university where I work if they might considering doing so for a VPN: BIG-IP Edge Client, which the team has partially rebranded—adding the authentication mechanism for logging into our university ID system to enable the VPN.

    @Bob_UW_LLC,

    The short answer is that there is no mechanism for supporting 1Password filling in macOS apps other than browsers.

    The long answer is that you would implement associated domains and set content types on the login fields so that at some future point Password AutoFill using macOS AutoFill would be available.
