Two different chrome extensions

I had installed 1password on a new device lately and was quite confused by the two existing extensions and why my browser suddenly stopped to fill in when I used my preferred shortcut. A hinto on the extension page, that this is working differently would have been nice.
my two cents: I'm so used to fill in logins by using the shortcut, that at first I thought the extension isn't working. Also having to click on it was way slower than hitting Ctrl+/ and I like to have the control over on which page I want to fill in my accounts. And I don't really appreciate the fact, that it will automatically show available accounts on opening a page. I share my screen a lot and I don't want people to see my saved logins.
