My new master password doesnt work on 1password mini

Hi
I have upgraded to 1password7 and changed the master password to a new one.
I have now 2 issues:
1) 1password mini doesn't recognise the new password but only the previous one. Why is that and how can I change it?
2) one of my temporary colleague who has only guest access can open 1password with my old password and see all the data. Why is that and how can I change it?
Before the upgrade the data was synced via dropbox.
