1Password and the ShakeShack Mobile app on iOS

1) When you attempt to log into the mobile application, you have to manually enter your user credential as there is no option to pull that value directly from 1Password and the option to select from 1Password does not exist on the Shake Shack screen.

2) When you click on the user login screen "next" button and view the password entry screen, the option to paste the password from "1Password" directly into the password field of the ShakeShack mobile app is available and works without issue.

3) There are no further issues with being able to login into the Shake Shack application.

    Hi @cswannack!

When you attempt to log into the mobile application, you have to manually enter your user credential as there is no option to pull that value directly from 1Password and the option to select from 1Password does not exist on the Shake Shack screen.

Does the 1Password entry appear at the top of your iOS keyboard when you tap on the username field at all?

the 1Password entry does not appear on top of the iOS Keyboard when you are in/tap the username field of the mobile application. Only the password field has the 1Password entry appear.

  • @cswannack,

You'll probably want to reach out to Shake Shack about that. AutoFill on iOS is contextual and if they haven't specified that their login field has a content type for a login then the iOS AutoFill machinery doesn't know that its a fillable field. Unfortunately it looks like they've done one of those 2 stage login forms that iOS AutoFIll doesn't handle, so even if they do properly tag the email field its going to cause you to have two trips to fill everything in.

You'd either end up filling your username from the QuickType toolbar from your iOS contact card, or going into the 1Password AutoFill to fill the username. You'd then 1Password AutoFill again to fill in your password.
