Move to /Applications

I'm trying to move 1Password from ~/Applications to /Applications to comply with the annoying error message.
But when I try to move it, I get the Circle/Slash icon and cannot move it.
Catch 22 - what'do I do?

    Hi @mattsteinruck!

    Is 1Password running while you are trying this? Do you see 1Password mini in the menu bar, at the top right of your screen?

    No, I've quit the software from the menu bar at the top ("Quit Completely") to make sure it would work ok - but it didn't.

    It may be easier to trash the existing app, and then download and install a new version.
