CIBC cardnumber not username

1password does not correctly fill in the cardnumber for https://www.cibconline.cibc.com/ebm-resources/public/banking/cibc/client/web/index.html#/signon

The username entry in 1password maps to class element cardnumber on the form.

I've looked at importing cibc.com-137.1pif from this thread: https://1password.community/discussion/100611/card-number-not-working-with-cibc-com but it would not import to my version of 1password

1Password Version: 7.8.1
Extension Version: 4.7.5.90
OS Version: OS X 11.2.3
Sync Type: 1Password

    Hi @jimbojones!

it would not import to my version of 1password

What happens exactly when you try to import the item? Do you get an error message?

The .1pif file in that thread is corrupt

That UUID at the end (***5642 ...) makes it unable to be imported. Once that's removed (which I assume most of your users won't do), it seems to import correctly.

It would be helpful to have a way in the Edit UI to add additional classnames to the username field.

  • Hey @jimbojones. The label for the username field can be edited if you click the View Saved Form Details button in edit mode for the item. That said, I just tried saving a new login with our newer browser offering, and a login saved with this extension saves and fills perfectly, so with it, editing an item manually or importing a 1PIF file isn't necessary.

Excellent. Will try again to see how that works

  • Sounds like a plan to me!
