Autolock turned off, but still locking

I am using Brave and have turned off autolock (version 1.24.2) and yet the extension still locks. I want to turn off autolock, how can I do this?

    When does the extension lock? After how much time?

    it seems pretty random. I can't seem to find any pattern. Could it be related to Brave?

    @TPG:

    It could be. Notice that certain events will make the extension lock anyway, so it's not possible to let it unlocked forever (for example, when you close Brave the extension will also lock). Also, if you have "Lock when device goes to sleep" enabled in the settings, that would be another example.
