PayPal no longer supporting Symantec VIP 2-step verification (starting June 25, 2021)

This morning I received an email from PayPal that they will no longer support Symantec VIP 2-step verification (starting June 25, 2021).

Several people over here used a Python script to create a virtual VIP key and added that to 1Password (like me).

PayPal offers regular TOTP now (supported by 1Password), so please make sure you update your settings at PayPal in time.

    Thanks a lot @XIII for mentioning it! Till now, I used SMS authentication for PayPal. ;)

    Until recently, PayPal 2FA was not even available in all countries, so I am happy that TOTP is now supported for sure :)
