1Password Class (requires desktop) UX in Chrome/Edge/Brave
Hi, all.
It's sincerely great to see 7.8.3 re-introduce native integration. I prefer the Chromium options to Safari but missed watch unlock. I also had sync issues between the native and browser instances (most or all of which do seem fixed by earlier releases). So native is nice.
I'm surprised by the absence of 1Password visual integration into fillable forms. With this new, native version, there are no 1Password icons in form fields and the process of creating new logins appears to have regressed, too.
Is there an intent to bring that stuff back? It doesn't seem like a technical limitation since there's no reason that I can think of that the native integrated browser can't modify/interact with pages exactly the same way the browser-based version does.
I can't move my extended family over to this new version because I know they will struggle with both the absence of visual cues and the need to re-learn how to use the product. So they're going to stick with the old one. And I, myself, have decided that watch unlock and the reliability of a single instance of "truth" on a machine are not enough of a motivator to keep me on this new version. So I've gone back to the browser version.
Would love to see this addressed.
Thanks.

Hi @zendnez!

I am a bit confused: the new extension shows up inside form fields. It's the old one that doesn't, but it seems like you are reporting the opposite behavior instead. Can you confirm what version of the 1Password browser extension you currently have installed?

@ag_ana & @rudy - thank you both for your responses.
My question was confused because I'd read about some of the stuff happening on browser dev channels and mistook it for being released and, from there, I got confused about what I was and wasn't seeing :)
Everything cleared up today with the release of the 2.x browser extension and the update to the desktop client. The updates are outstanding. Super excited about them.
Thanks again and sorry for the confusion!
