Unable to enable the Privacy integration.

Whenever I try to enable the Privacy extension I receive an error message that it is unable to enable the Privacy integration. I am using Chrome Version 90.0.4430.212 (Official Build) (64-bit). I read in another thread about funding sources and I do have a valid funding source in Privacy.

  • @adepew,

Does that funding source have at least $50 in it? In adding Privacy.com support to the mac version I found that if you didn't have at least that much in the funding source that it wouldn't let you enable it, and the error we get back from the server doesn't indicate the true source of the problem.

My funding source is my bank account. Definitely has more than $50 in the account.

    Hey @adepew ,
    Thanks for the info.

Did you try this on a new Chrome profile by any chance? If not, would you mind trying it:

    1. Create a new user profile in Chrome and switch into that profile: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2364824
    2. Install only 1Password in that profile: https://support.1password.com/getting-started-browser/
    3. Try to enable the privacy.com integration in the extension's settings page.

In case that doesn't work, grab the extension's log and send it over to us via email to support+x@1password.com with a link to this discussion.

I just received an update to the Chrome extension version 2.0. After upgrading my extension I was able to successfully enable Privacy.com integration. Thanks everyone for your help!
