Double click in 1Password does not open item

I thought that double clicking on the name of an item within the vault would open the item as identified in the index?
So for example, I have an item "Adobe" which has a username, password and website.
If I copy and paste those, they all work.
but nothing works automatically.
That is true of all items.7.8.4
Regards
Bob

    Hi @BobH!

    What happens exactly when you double click on an item in the list? And what version of the 1Password browser extension are you using?

    Hi @ag_ana
    Thank you for the reply. General/Extensions for Safari says 1Password 7.8.4
    Double clicking turns the item from Blue to Grey. If Safari isn't open, it opens, but doesn't fill in the details for the website.
    That's all

    Chrome extension is 4.7.5.90

    @BobH:

    Thank you for the additional information! What is the exact value of the website field inside your Adobe Login item in 1Password, so we can test it too?

    Amazon one is https://www.amazon.co.uk

    They all react in the same way :)

    @BobH:

    Double clicking would work the way you are suggesting only if the website field has a direct URL to a login form. If you only use https://www.amazon.co.uk, for example, 1Password would open the home page, but since a login form is not immediately available there, it would not be able to fill. In Amazon's case, the sign in page with the sign in form seems to be this:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/ap/signin?openid.pape.max_auth_age=0&openid.return_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.co.uk%2F%3Fref_%3Dnav_custrec_signin&openid.identity=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0%2Fidentifier_select&openid.assoc_handle=gbflex&openid.mode=checkid_setup&openid.claimed_id=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0%2Fidentifier_select&openid.ns=http%3A%2F%2Fspecs.openid.net%2Fauth%2F2.0&

    This is the URL that comes up if you click on the Sign In button on the Amazon home page. If you add this URL in the item, 1Password will open the page and also be able to fill your username automatically :+1:
