chrome extension does not work anymore

I used to be able to use the extension in chrome. Now I just changed my password, and now it does not work anymore. The password I use is correct, I can log in with it via my.1password.com. But if I want to sign in using ctrl shift X and I enter my password, it says it's incorrect. What could be the problem? I deinstalled and reinstalled the chrome extension already, but it just does not work. thanks.
