Feedback to 1Password Chrome 2.0.1 and no lock-timer anymore

Hi,

generally, I like both the new design (darkmode, finally) of the new Chrome plugin version, and most of the changes it brought. What I do not like, though, is that it now automatically locks, without any option to set a timeout, or other settings related to the re-locking of the extension. I got a strong screenlock password, and I need to lock my screen regularly, every few minutes, but do NOT want 1password to lock, each time, as well (I did not yet figure out, what triggers a lock, exactly, might be time based, might be locking the OS...). I'd love to get the setting back where I can specify after how long without any interaction the plugin should lock (and of course, it will re-lock on signout/chrome restart...)

Greetings from Berlin,
Michael Rother

    Hi @Trminator!

If you go to the 1Password extension's settings, do you see the auto-lock settings in the Security section there? Here is a screenshot of what it looks like:

Have you also enabled the integration with the desktop app, so the lock state will be shared between that and the extension?

Ahhhh, that's the magic bit... the integration was enabled, by default, eventhough I did not (yet) have the app installed, on the system. So, the setting vanished from the plugin, but I did not yet have the app to change the lock settings. Fixed now, because I can set it via the App :) Thank you, @ag_ana :)

    Hey @Trminator ,

The option to integrate with the 1Password app would not have worked if you did not have the app installed, and the auto-lock timer settings would still be visible. I do believe you have the app installed somewhere on your computer :)

Feel free to uninstall it if you don't use it at all, to prevent such confusion in the future if you ever install 1Password again (or on a different browser): https://support.1password.com/uninstall-1password/
