Safari extension not working despite extension setting.


I've restarted Safari, restarted the extension helper, turned the extension off and on again, all of these multiple times.
The App Store version updated this morning and I notice the versions of the extension and the app are different.
Stand alone app works OK.

Extension Version: 7.8.5
OS Version: 10.15.7
Sync Type: Not Provided

    Hey @SlickSlack ,

    Can you please try the following in this exact order:

    1. Right click the little 1Password icon on the top menu bar of your Mac (where the clock is) and select "Quit 1Password Completely".
    2. Quit Safari by right clicking its icon in the Dock and selecting "Quit".
    3. Open and unlock 1Password.
    4. Open Safari and test if it is working properly.

    That worked. I had quit out of 1P a couple of times but I can't guarantee I ever did it in exactly this order. Now that I've done it this way I notice that 1Password is now 7.8.5 as well as the Safari extension.

    This also worked for Firefox. I was having the same issue only on that browser and these steps solved it.
