MS Edge & 1Password Beta cannot verify each other

Using latest version of MS Edge Dev (93.0.926.0) on macOS 10.15.7, 1Password for Mac (7.8.6, Beta enabled) and the 1Password Beta extension (2.04).

Edge refuses to connect to 1Password for Desktop stating that they can't authenticate; I've tried everything, uninstalling the extension, uninstalling the browser, restarting, copying the NativeMessaging file form Chrome into Edge - nothing seems to work.
I have followed every bit of support advice from the site but I am coming up with nothin.

Any thoughts?
