Reproduction:

  1. Default browser is Safari Technical Preview, not Safari.
  2. Open the 1Password desktop client.
  3. Go into Preferences.
  4. Go to the Browsers tab.
  5. Select “Privacy.com integration”.

Expected:

Safari Technical Preview.app would open so that I can sign-in to Privacy.com.

Actual:

Safari.app opened so that I could sign-in to Privacy.com.

    Hi @Ryan Parman!

    Thank you for reporting this! I was able to reproduce this issue on my machine (this seems to happen no matter what default browser you have configured, so it's not limited to Safari), so I will open an internal issue so that the developers can look at this :)

    @Ryan Parman:

    I have just heard back from the developers, and I was told that currently Privacy.com integration is only supported with the Safari browser. So this is not a bug, it's just how things work at the moment. Sorry for the inconvenience!
