Do apps need their own entry in the vault?

I have a web site on my iMac that works fine with 1password, however, when I go to my IPhone and open the app for that website and do the 1password fill it says my password is wrong. I look at the password that is being filled in and it is correct????

    Hello @Larry989 I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble filling your password into an app and I'm happy to help. You don't need to have a separate login item for apps, the same login item should fill your password in both the website and the app.

    If you go to the website using Safari (not the app) on your iPhone and try to fill your password there does that work? If it doesn't then reveal the password in the 1Password app on both your Mac and your iPhone and make sure that the username and password match on both devices.
