Can't access community profile settings after making it private

Hi there,

I have changed my community profile to be private, but now I can't access it myself. I understood it as making it private from the general user-base, not myself. If that is by design, how do I un-private my profile?

    Hi @srcLegend

    Admittedly this isn't a feature I'm familiar with. It appears it is something relatively new our forum provider has rolled out. The documentation on it that I was able to find can be seen here:

    https://success.vanillaforums.com/kb/articles/395-release-2021-012

    It doesn't indicate that the user who's profile is marked private will have access to their own profile when this setting is enabled, so I would assume this is working as Vanilla intended.

    Users must have the PersonalInfo.View permission to gain access to the users profile page.

    We (intentionally) have this turned off except on an as-needed basis for staff. If you'd like, I can revert the change for you.

    I understand, and yeah, please revert it

    Thanks for digging for the source, btw. Very much appreciated

    @srcLegend:

    I have reverted the change for you. Can you take a look now and see if you can access your profile again?
