How can I deploy the 1Password Chrome extension with the "Show autofill menu on field focus" off?

Hi,

I am deploying 1Password and the 1Password Chrome extension to multiple users and want the extension to have the "Show autofill menu on field focus" setting set to off. As per the picture.

Is there a way to do this at the deployment stage or any way that does not require me to manually set this for each user?

Thanks,
Alex

1Password Version: 7.7.810
Extension Version: 2.0.5
OS Version: Windows 10

  • Hello @alex333,

When deploying an extension, we can only control some actions users can do with that extension, but we don't have a policy template for configuring the settings inside 1Password like some applications, so you should manually turn off the "Show autofill menu on field focus" option or ask your users to do so.

Thanks, is this something I can request to be added in future? It would be great to have granular control over this when deploying the extension .

While I can't say for sure when or if this will be available, I've shared your feature request with the appropriate team so they can take it into consideration.

If there's anything else we can do to help, please let us know! In the meantime, thank you for your support!
