Domain requires access credentials, but 1Password won't fill them (Firefox)
Hi there, there's an internal site that requires credentials every time I access it. It's not a regular login, it's basically a new small window, so 1Password doesn't offer the possibility to backfill the user/password fields.
See screenshot:
Any idea on how I can use 1Password to login this as well?
1Password Version: 7.8.6
Extension Version: 2.0.5
OS Version: 11.3.1

From what I can tell, it looks like the site uses Basic Authentication. 1Password does support sites that use Basic Authentication, however filling is not possible via the inline menu because of how authentication is handled within the browser. Instead of navigating to the site and then autofilling, we recommend clicking 1Password in your browser toolbar, searching for the Login and choosing Open & Fill. 1Password will navigate to the site, autofill and authenticate you in one step. Can you give that a try and let me know if it works for you?

Thanks, that worked :) One last question: is it possible to setup that "Open and fill" functionality for a particular site as a bookmark or trigger it when opening a new browser session? Or is it just supported when accessing the 1Password browser extension?

Hey @jqnavarro ,
We're glad to hear that worked :)Currently it is not possible to to automate that Open & Fill workflow so you'll need to open the extension and click the Open & Fill button manually.
However, you can make it easier by marking that website's login item as a favorite, so it will show up first when you open 1Password on an empty page/tab.Simply open your 1Password, find the login entry for this website, select it and mark it as a favorite using the little star icon at the bottom.
Then, when you open the extension on an empty page/tab, or when you change the filter from "Suggestions" to "All Items", that login entry will show up first in the list, making it easier to open.I hope you'll find this helpful.
