Watchtower report has to regenerate after every change

Launched the new 1Password 8 to give it a further spin. One of the things I have been neglecting is updating some items flagged in Watchtower, so I tried it out.

Problems I've encountered include:

  • Takes a moment for the Watchtower report to generate.
  • If I select a login that is missing 2FA, update it, and save, I'm taken out of the Watchtower report and not brought back to the updated item.
  • Clicking on Watchtower again to go to the next item on the list, I'm instead brought to the opening Watchtower dashboard again (after taking another moment to generate) and have to dive into the individual report again.
  • Rinse/repeat.

Lots of extra clicks for something that should be a fast workflow (update item in report to fix identified issue, save, move onto next item).

    Thanks so much for trying out 1Password 8!

    You are totally right, this is not ideal. I looked into and added your report to our internal tracker so the team can fix it in a future version of 1Password 8.
