Official Statement Regarding Electron

Hi,

Since very few of you showed up to the scheduled AMA and I can't get an official response via the other threads, reddit, twitter, or email. What I want to know is if you are moving forward with the 1Password mac app as an electron app despite the strong pushback from mac users. It seems as if you knew the pushback would be severe so you dropped the news and disappeared.

So, will 1password 8 officially be an electron app, despite promises being made that you were all in on native apps?

    dteare and roustem have, at this point, been quite public about being smitten with the approach in v8. I also know that they both believe strongly that no decision is final. Electron isn't going anywhere in the near future, but we're not taking our eyes off things. We're going to work hard to continue our tradition of delivering quality software for the Mac.

    I'd like a public statement about when they are going to resume their AMA like promised.

    Agilebits employees, are you proud of your company's behavior and lack of honesty and transparency in the face of criticism? Just deny, deny, deny and then vanish?
