Minor UI Item - The Scrolling List "bounce" is gone

I only noticed this in today's beta, so I'm not sure if this was the behavior in previous versions, but the "bounce" when reaching the top of a scrolling list is gone. It's a small thing, but it was rather jarring as I expect it to be present everywhere on Mac and iOS. You can go to Mail, Notes, or most any other Mac app and see the behavior I'm referring to. I also confirmed it is present in 1Password 7.

  • Hey @x19

This is something I've seen some discussion around internally. I'll follow up and see where we stand with that. Thanks for taking the time to try out the beta and for providing this feedback!

    Thanks @Ben

  • No problem! It looks like we have an issue filed for further consideration. I'll add your voice there. :)

I too noticed this and came here to report it. When you are at the top of a list and try to scroll up there is zero feedback, nothing happens, so there no way to know if the scroll request was missed or that you are already at the top. I often end up scrolling down then up just to be sure.

I believe this is why the "bounce" exists. Please bring it back!

  • Thanks for chiming in @jcwacky!

Please add my vote for fixing this, too. All scroll views in other apps bounce when I scroll with my M1 MacBook Pro's trackpad, so I really miss the elastic scrolling feedback in 1Password 8.
