I keep my "All Items" sorted by "Date Modified" and "newest first"

Today I was surprised to see at the top of the list eight items that I haven't changed or used for a long time. The first one I know I had changed was ninth.

The eight items all have a modified date and time of 14th August at 09:38, but I installed 1P8 on August 11th around 7pm.

The changed modification dates have propagated to my other devices, Mac on 1P7 and iPad and iPhone.

  • Hey, @mikebore. That is odd. If you sign in on 1Password.com and find the items there, you can view the history of each item. I’m not aware of any known issue that would cause something like this.

Let me know if you find anything useful. We can look into it from our side but all we’ll see are dates, times, users, and devices. The actual item data is encrypted on your device.

    edited August 2021

On 1Password.com the initial view (first screenshot) shows 14th August 2021, as all my devices.

But If I click "View Item History" it shows the correct last edited date of May 10th 2017. Second screenshot.

  • Ah, yeah, the second screenshot would be the previous version from the item history. That's why there's a restore button there. @mikebore if you'd like us to look into this further, could you email us at support@1password.com and include a link to this thread? Then we can discuss details specific to your account.

The change is not per se important. I will keep an eye and see if it happens again. There is probably an explanation relevant to these specific items.

  • Ok. Definitely let us know if it happens again. 👍
