TouchID won't activate after restart unless using app
I rarely use the 1Password app on iOS; instead I log into websites and apps using the keyboard, or, rarely, the Share extension.
But after I restart the device, I am forced to use the app in order to re-enable TouchID. After restart, 1Password asks for my Master Password every time when using the keyboard or Extension. Only putting my Master Password into the 1Password app itself re-enables TouchID
Is this intentional? Is it a system limitation? Or am I running into a bug? It is very frustrating.

Hello @Calion! 👋
I'm sorry about the frustration. The behaviour you mentioned is a limitation of our integration with the iOS Password AutoFill feature - when going through Password AutoFill's interface to open 1Password, 1Password is opening in a more restricted mode than when you launch the main app itself, and in this more restricted mode we're unable to perform the background tasks necessary to set up things like Touch ID unlock. Launching the main app instead does allow those background tasks to complete, and so subsequent calls from Password AutoFill can make use of them. Our team is aware of this limitation and are investigating ways they can improve this behaviour.
So in short: Open the main 1Password app first using your 1Password account password and then you'll be able to use Touch ID on subsequent unlocks.
I hope this helps. :)
