T-Mobile hack is every reason you need 2-factor authentication. How and why to use it
Vanilla Forum Software seemed to have applied Dark Mode automatically some weeks ago. I cannot switch between Dark/Light Modes. Some features are obscured in Dark Mode. The 1 hour Edit (50 minutes) is obscured. I must go near the star (favourite) to see the 1 hour edit icon.
I tried the Mac System Preferences --> Desktop & Screen Saver --> Light (Still). It didn't switch back to Light Colour.

Can you please try clearing your cache and cookies? Switching between dark and light mode might require this manual step in case it doesn't work automatically.

On iPadOS 14.7.1 I have no issues switching between Light or Dark Mode when I went to Settings --> Display and Brightness --> Light or Dark.
On my iPhone with iOS 14.7.1 the normal Forum colours (White/Light) were retained regardless of whether I was on Light or Dark Mode.
I've had other Vanilla Forum issues on my Mac. I previously reported them and they are still present. My Profile doesn't show the number of Discussion Posts and Comment posts (and other post count when logged in). I am able to see these on my iPhone. Reported the problem some time back and they still persist. This is for Desktop. The numbers appear on Mobile Safari. I'm still not sure if it's because other users cannot see my post and only Agilebits staff can? I don't recall when this particular issue started.

I cannot find the original post for the issue I previously reported now.
