Can't generate a password for my Apple account

I just signed onto 1Password a couple of hours ago and have been merrily generating new passwords for all my web accounts using Chrome. I've had to fumble around a bit, but on the whole it's worked out well using the 1Password suggestions. That is, until I tried to update the password in my Apple account, entering using my Apple id. Everything was fine until I got to the tray to create a new password. There, I absolutely cannot get iPassword to generate anything, whether it's by clicking on the icon in the tray, the extension icon, the web page, or whatever. In fact, when I click on the 1Password icon in the tray for a new password, I'm kicked out of the page on the Apple website altogether. Any suggestions?
