Hi @svanya, thanks for this question! I'm happy to help here.

You can use your security key (like a Yubikey, for example) by setting it up at 1Password.com. We have a handy guide on how to do this here. Let me know if this is helpful, and if you'd like customized help we're happy to provide it as well!

What you mention is not "unlock the 1Password app" feature.

  • HI @svanya - my apologies, I'm not sure what you mean. Allow to me to explain a little further:

    • Security keys can be used as a second factor to unlock 1Password.
    • Until recently, that feature was not complete in 1Password for Windows Early Access, because this is still an early version of the app
    • As of Sept 13, 2021, our developers have added support for these Security Keys. This is part of the 8.2.2-39 Beta, and will continue to be part of the app going forward.

If you're interested, you can read more about that release here: https://releases.1password.com/windows/early-access/#1password-for-windows-8.2.2-39

    • And you can use security keys by setting them up at 1Password.com, using the link I provided in the previous post.

Is that helpful? Feel free to let me know if I've missed something here - we want to make sure we're on track with our responses 😀
