No Edit or Add New Option in v7 on Mac

Hello
I am using
1Password 7 Version 7.8.7 (70807003) on my MacBook Pro, OS Catalina 10.15.7.
everything s working fine on my iPad and iPhone but there are no options to add a new item or edit an existing item in the Primary vault on my Macbook
Can this be fixed please.

Have you activated your 1Password for Mac app with either a 1Password Membership, or a 1Password license that you bought in the past?

Hmmm... No, I've never had to do that before when upgrading my computers...

And it was working fine before the conversion to 7
