I am just wondering what is the prevailing thought on the safety of using 1P on an Android phone which now no longer receives (security) updates

    Hi @jmjm:

    Generally speaking, we'd recommend not using devices that are no longer receiving updates. With that in mind however, since there is one more final update for the Pixel 3 expected next year, the Pixel 3 may not fall into that bucket just yet.

    So @jack.platten it just seems a bit 'awkward' that this phone will have no update at the very least for the months of November and December and depending on when that final update occurs it could be longer having to rely on that last security update that happened in October of 2021.

    @jmjm:

    Indeed. This seems quite common with Android devices by the way, I remember something similar on my previous Android phone too.
