new user cannot get it to "open and Fill"

Mac Air 10.15.7 1password 7.9.1
Spent several hours today but could not get my loaded websites to open when I hit the "open and fill" button. Worked fine on my iPhone but zip on the laptop. frustrated and I am not a real clever IT guy. Would appreciate some help. THANKS
