Minimum Information Needed to Recover Access to 1Password

Hi,

A quick question. I want to ensure that I can recover access to my 1Password account if something disastrous happens. E.g. if I'm traveling and my devices are stolen, or all my devices in my home are lost, how can be sure that I can recover access to 1Password and therefore all the other accounts whose access information I store in 1Password?

I know I need to know my 1Password UserID and password, the secret key, and the ability to generate 2FA TOTP tokens. My question is would I ever need to access the email account for the email address I used for my UserID?

Thanks,
Mike

    Hi @MikeA01730!

In order to login to an existing 1Password account, you need your sign in address, email address, Secret Key, account password and TOTP app, in case you have 2FA enabled. You don't need access to the email address for the login if you have all this information available :+1:
