Auto submit causes change password dialog to prevent "Use suggested password"

I was attempting to change my password on a site.

As soon as I clicked the "Use suggested password", the form is submitted ("Continue" button is implicitly clicked), and I don't have time to also click the "Update existing item in 1Password".

Is there a way to turn off auto-submit for websites / logins / universally?

Thanks,
Mike

    Hey Mike,

1Password does not auto-submit stuff. It sounds like the website has a script to do that when it detects matching passwords in both fields (which is a bit weird).
If you find yourself locked out of an account because you couldn't save the new password, you can recover it in the generator's history:

    1. Click the 1Password extension icon in your browser's toolbar to open it.
    2. Click the Key button at the top right area to reach the generator.
    3. In the generator, click the "Generator History" button at the bottom and locate the password that was just used but was not saved. Copy it and paste it into the login item to update that login entry with the new password, or simply paste it into the website's login page and click the "Save in 1Password" to trigger the save/update prompt.
