I have a couple of websites that has "auth0" in the url. (i.e., https://production.deltadental.auth0.com/login)
However also have another websites that as the "auth0" in it as well. When I go to save the other websites, it wants to update and overwrite the one that is already saved thinking it's the same url because it only see the "auth0). It's not taking the the whole url into consideration (ie, https://production.deltadental.auth0.com). On both sites it's only taking the auth0 part. How do I stop that so 1Password can differentiate between the too or have it take the whole website.

  • Hey @dmvmaurice!

It definitely seems like we have the wrong behaviour there. We actually have to make this determination on a per site basis, as there are cases where it's desirable, for example on stackexchange.com where both https://chess.stackexchange.com/ and https://meta.stackexchange.com/ use the same accounts.

I've opened an issue on our end so that me or one of the other developers working on the Browser Experience team can take a look. We decide what behaviour to use based on a number of resources but also have our own list of overrides when we find situations like Auth0.

Thanks for letting us know about this. Hopefully the behaviour will improve in a future release as a result of your feedback :)

No problem. Here is another one but I don't think it will be a problem. https://betrhealth.xecurify.com/moas/idplogin. Instead of taking the whole url it only takes the .xecurify portion. No biggie for this but this is just an example. Thanks again and sorry for the delay.
