Hi, When I create a new item in the Linux, Android and iOS 1Password apps, the login field is already populated with an email address and focus is set on the password field. How to change that? I would like it to be empty. It is especially annoying because in my case, it is filled with a an email address I am not using that often. This change of behavior seems to be relatively recent. Thanks for your help. Spacehog30Views0likes2CommentsmacOS Sequoia Autofill
I've seen some places in this forum where you guys have informed people that 1Password doesn't use the macOS autofill settings. I was just curious if there are technical reasons that prevent you from using this, or if there are specific design reasons for not adopting it, or if it's something that's coming in a future update. It seems like the native autofill integrations would be the best option, but maybe not. 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: macOS 15.1 Browser: Not Provided298Views2likes6CommentsUnable to login with iOS App, Crashes when I scan QR code
I'm all setup but when I try to login with the iOS app, when I scan the QR code, the app immediately crashes. Is there a known issue or workaround? All I did was download the app and open it. I took the info both from the emergency kit, and also from the account under "Get the Apps". I tried scanning the QR code there too and it crashed. iPhone 13 mini with IOS 18.1.1. Edit: removed the second part of my question where manual login wasn't working, it's because I had the last character of the password wrong. So the scanning doesn't affect me any more but thought I'd keep the question here for any good workarounds or reporting.Solved65Views0likes2CommentsWi-Fi credential sharing
I love that with Mac v8.10.36-1 you've improved the Wi-Fi credential item to include a QR code for the network name and password. It's a beautiful thing! Taking your idea one step further, I'd like to suggest that you include that QR image when securely sharing the item via a link. Thanks. 1Password Version: Not Provided Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: Not Provided Browser: Not Provided58Views0likes3Commentslocked out with upgrade to version 7
In sum: I can't use the app because I haven't updated my iOS, and 1Password updated automatically to a version that needs a higher level iOS. 1Password had said I can continue to use the old app but I don't see how to restore it. Details: An email arrived on January 21 telling me that I should upgrade my iOS to at least Mac OS Monterey 12 in order to run the new version of 1Password. It goes on to say: If you cannot update your device to macOS 12 or higher, 1Password for macOS will still work. However, you will no longer receive app updates. I haven't had time to do the update and tonight I cannot run 1Password. I click on the icon and the message reads: "You can’t use this version of the application “1Password.app” with this version of macOS. You have macOS 11.7.10. The application requires macOS 12.0 or later." I do not see on the website where I can download a legacy version so that I can keep running 1Password until I'm able to update to a higher OS. Any suggestions?12Views0likes0CommentsAdd option to hide the "What's New" red badge on the help icon
I wish there were a way to disable the red badge that appears on the help icon in the top right of the 1Password window next to the "New Item" button when there's a new release. Typically the release notes are just for very minor features/bug fixes and not something I want to read through every release. It's just annoying to have to click through one-to-two times per month to get the attention-drawing red badge to go away. 1Password Version: 8.10.24 Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: macOS 14.2.1 Browser: Not Provided103Views1like5CommentsSaving of Passkeys Not Available on MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1
New MacOS update to Sequoia 15.0.1 has added Apple Password app to the computer and 1Password is not able to be set as default for passkeys and new items to be sent to. I have troubleshooted this with Apple Support and opened an Apple Support ticket. Additionally, part of the trouble shooting performed was uninstalling and reinstalling the 1Password application and additionally attempting to use 1Password 7 available in the Apple App Store. 1Password for Mac 8.10.46 (81046026) 1Password Version: 8.10.46 (81046026) Extension Version: N/A OS Version: MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1 Browser: N/A829Views2likes26Comments1password 7 - Vault Restore through iPhone local backup?
Hi, I have been on 1Password 7 until recently and joined the 14-day trial by setting up a 1password account after I realized that there no longer any iCloud syncing across devices. I did not realize that the consequence of this 14-day trial was that I would not be able to add any new password to my vault without continuing with the subscription... Long story short: - I thought that signing out of the my.1password.com account would allow me to add passwords again (even if they would not sync) - turns out, it does not... - I stupidly restored a 4 year old vault from my Dropbox (and I don't seem to have a more recent one there) - I do not remember my Master Password for my my.1password.com account. So I cannot access my current version any more. - However, I DO know my app-password. So I can access the app... As a result: I lost all of the additions to my vault since 2020... HOWEVER: I do have a full local iPhone backup in iTunes from a few months ago (before I did the 14 day trial of 1password) QUESTION: If I were to restore that local iPhone backup from a few months ago, will it restore the vault in the 1password 7 app from that local backup - so I at least have a version from a few months and not 5 years ago? This means I could just use the app-password to get into the app. I would probably do a current backup before restoring that one, then sort out the backup of my slightly outdated vault and then go back to the "current backup"... Thank you so much for your insights!14Views0likes0CommentsBefore I submit this as a bug…. User name prefilled when creating a new login.
When I go to create a new login, the user name is prefilled with an email address I haven’t used in years. This shouldn’t have any email address, especially when I use Fastmail’s masked emails. I hope this is a bug and not a normal thing. 1Password Version: 8.10.56 Extension Version: Not Provided OS Version: iPad 18.2 and iOS 18.2 Browser: Not Provided94Views1like10Comments
