1Password Vault showing locked using Chrome extension but not when using Safari extension

I have a two vaults:
1. one for personal use and
2. one for work use.

Both have different master passwords for security.

On my Mac using the Chrome extension to get to the Settings, I:

  • Right Click on the 1Password icon in the Chrome extension
  • and select Settings
  • and scroll down to Accounts & Vaults

Result:

  • My personal Vault is there but shows "Locked" and the toggle switch is set to OFF
  • My work Vault shows available

On My Mac using the Safari extension to get to the Settings I:

  • Left Click on the 1Password icon
  • Click on the downward chevron "" beside the 1Password icon

Result:

  • Both vaults show available

On my Mac, the desktop version of 1Password shows both vaults available.

I tried deleting the 1Password Chrome extension, signing out of 1Password completely, and then reinstalling the 1Password extension. The problem remained.

So far, my work around is to use Safari.

For me the cause and fix was as follows:

    • I previously had everything working through Chrome plugin
    • Installed the OSX 1password Application
    • 1password Chrome plugin didn't work and showed account as locked
      Fix

    • Sign into www.1password.com

    • Sign Out of the Chrome Plugin and sign back in again.
