When updating a password, 1Password creates a new Login rather than updating the existing login

I am using Windows 11 and Chrome (with the 1Password extension. Recently, when I update or reset a password, I get the prompt to save from 1Password but it creates a new login rather than updating the existing login. The names match and this functionality used to work, but a recent update seems to have broken that functionality.
