App integration broken with chrome on linux

After the update to 1Password for Linux 8.5.0-83 or to chrome M98, the extension is unable to integrate with the app. It is able to start the app into the system tray, but ends up asking for password within the extension itself instead of popping up the app window.

1Password Version: 8.5.0-83
Extension Version: beta 2.2.4 on chrome beta 98.0.4758.48
OS Version: Arch Linux: kernel 5.15.13-arch1-1, KDE 5.23.5

    Hey @tonkku107:

Thanks for letting us know, and we'd be happy to take a further look at what could be going on here.

Follow the steps here to save a console log of 1Password in your browser: Save a console log for 1Password in your browser

I'd then also like you to create a diagnostics report from 1Password:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password.
    2. Press Ctrl + Comma, then click Advanced.
    3. Click Send Diagnostics.
    4. Click Reveal.

Send both the diagnostics report and the console log as attachments in an email to [email protected].

    In the email, also include:

    • A link to this thread: https://1password.community/discussion/126399/app-integration-broken-with-chrome-on-linux#latest
    • Your username: tonkku107

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!
