QR Reader on windows desktop app

Hi, I know the 1password web extention can scan a QR code but the same feature can it be added to the desktop app?

    This feature is currently available in the 1Password 8 for Windows Beta released January 5th. You can see the details here in our release notes.

    If you are not already, you can follow this guide to use 1Password beta releases.
