Touch ID prompt not automatically showing at login

Hi, I'm having an issue with both the desktop app and extension on 1p8 since recently, when I first login, or after I've been automatically logged out and want to log in again, the Touch ID prompt isn't showing up, meaning I am asked for my password first, but I can still click on the Touch ID icon and use it, but it is a bit disruptive in terms of workflow.

I went on the forum and couldn't find similar issues recently, I found some old posts that advised to uninstall-reinstall 1password, which I did (both desktop app and Safari extension) and worked but for a very limited amount of time (< 1 day).

Is there something I am missing ?
