Quick Access
Please declare Quick Access a natural disaster and bring back 1P mini. Everything in 1P mini was better than this.
And resist the urge to fix what is not broken.

Hi @reinhard76, thanks for taking the time to provide this feedback.
While I can certainly pass this on to our developers, I want to be open about the fact that we've received lots of positive responses about Quick Access from customers, and find quite a few uses for it (and improvements over mini) ourselves. While I won't say with 100% certainty that mini won't make a comeback in some form, it's hard to see how that would work, given that 1Password 8 was built from the ground up and Quick Access was similarly designed from scratch, specifically with an aim of improving over mini.
If you're open to discussing it, though, I'd be happy to hear about what specific aspects of Quick Access aren't living up to your expectations. If we can improve any element of the app, we want to do so, and your responses can help. I'll hope to hear from you!

Hi @Imamekanic, I'm sorry to learn this! If you'd like to us to check this out in-depth (and we'd be happy to), you can send us a message at support@1Password.com and there our specialists can investigate what might be going on. You certainly should be able to expect reliable and rapid performance from Quick Access. 👍

Quick access seems to have disappeared on my version. Is there a way to reset quick access?

Hi @jacoblyles - that's unexpected. Can you share a little more about how it "disappeared?" If you close the app and re-open it, are you then able to access (so to speak) Quick Access again? We'd welcome any screenshots you'd like to share as well. We'll be happy to investigate this for you!

The change that is most dismaying to me is that "suggestions" seems to be missing. In other words, when I trigger either 1Password Mini, or 1Password for Safari, from this website, it shows me my "AgileBits Forum" item. If I were on the login screen, I could press enter and automatically fill in my info. But when I trigger Quick Access, it just shows me the search bar. To log into the forums, I would have to search for that item, and when I press enter it would open in a new tab, even though the login screen is already frontmost. Is this intended behavior?
I would be interested to hear what other problems users have with Quick Access, as I only just switched to 1Password 8 today.

Hey @dgbeecher:
As I mentioned in your other thread, we rely on 1Password for Safari to do the lifting when it comes to filling. In this case, opening the 1Password Support Community in Safari, then navigating to the login page, then using the Fill in Browser shortcut ( ⌘ + \ ) would fill in your Login item. Let me know how you get on with that!

I second the @dgbeecher comment, but it's not just autofill problem imho. Autofill itself can be left to browser extension, but it would be great if Quick Access communicated with it - "oh user is in browser, let me ask extension for suggestions". "Oh, they like it? I'll tell extension to fill it then"
As it is now, I have to keep two separate shortcuts that work slightly differently, and use them differently if I'm in browser or no. For example, I have a broken website that all autofills just hate and can't fill in username (thanks bank) then I would have to use browser shortcut, navigate with keys to username, and copy it manually. On the other side if I wanted to fill in this username from some other application (eg, I'm making a payment from some native app, but bank requires me to login via integrated browser in that app), then I would have to use Quick Access and search for it and copy it in different way. (if I want full support of what 1pw can guess about which login I want)
With just simple change of suggestion passing to Quick Access while I have browser focused, I could do it in same way, and additional "command browser ext to fill it" would bring it to perfection even on other websites.
Otherwise I think Quick Access is a great improvement over 1pw Mini (both in UI, shortcuts and so...), but it currently lacks the flexibility that Mini has, which can be improved upon
