I'm also having trouble with using a keyboard shortcut to "lock" 1Password 8.x.x. It was working for a while, but now it only works when I have the app open (and in view). I manually set the keyboard shortcut for "lock" myself, but even when changing it, it doesn't work. macOS just "reads" the shortcut as if I was pressing "L" (mine is set to "Option + L") while on the desktop. In other words, if you're on the macOS desktop and press a letter, it will select the first file or folder that starts with that letter), instead of passing it along to the app. Thanks!

  • Hey @bcrowl:

Just so you know, I've split this conversation off into a new thread in the beta section.

As it currently stands, the Lock 1Password shortcut is not a global shortcut, and as such will only lock 1Password when 1Password is the active app. We're always discussing improvements to 1Password however, and I've added your feedback to an internal issue we have on this. Thanks for your feedback here!
