Is there anyway to generate a password without creating a fake account? I am updating the password on an existing account.

Hello @Phrede thanks for the question. With 1Password for Android, you can create a new item when changing your password in the app or website or you can open the existing item, and generate a new password then copy it over to the app or website. Using split screen mode may be useful for the second option: Use split screen mode to drag and drop your credentials

is there any way to get the built in password generator (that pops up when you click on a password field) to follow rules such as 1) # of characters 2) alpha, numeric and/or symbols and if so how many

Hello @FrankBreech thanks for your question! With a random password created with the password generator in 1Password for Android you can select the length of the password, whether or not to include numbers and whether or not to include symbols. You can also select a memorable password or a PIN which have different additional settings.
